At this point Geraldine’s bag suddenly started vibrating and moving around the edge of the table. Her mobile phone, it had to be. She must have set it to vibrate not ring! Geraldine grabbed at the bag and succeeded only in knocking it to the floor, contents spilling in all directions. Geraldine looked down to see what the damage was. It could hardly have been worse. Sitting on Edwards left shoe was her tampon.
Geraldine closed her eyes and kissed his fingers, a slow sensual kiss, her lips embracing the tips of his fingers, gently sucking at them as she kissed. She felt Edwards hand on her shoulder, his breath on her neck and then his mouth at her ear. Edward kissed Geraldine’s ear and moved his mouth slowly to where his fingers were, replacing them with his lips. Geraldine kissed back as his lips enveloped hers, her emotions in a freefall of conflicting uncertainty and pleasure. One hand held her face as he kissed, the other rested gently at her side, his fingers performing a mild massage of her waist, perhaps unsure of which way to go next. Geraldine helped his hand and inwardly gasped as he held her, thankful there was no crinkle of sellotape as he pressed at her through her dress. She pulled back and looked at him, her eyes boring deep into his, her breath deep, her bosom heaving. “Golly.” “Quite. You are a remarkable woman Geraldine Paige, a remarkable woman. Where have you been hiding all my life?” “I’ve been just here, waiting I think, waiting for this moment. And now I’m probably going to spoil it…” |
